Seoul is a short flight from Japan, and many Japanese patients visit for skin treatments, eyelid surgery, nose surgery and lifting, often on a short trip.
Cliniclo arranges your visit from Japan: clinic matching, quotes, appointments, airport pickup, accommodation, interpretation and follow-up.
Travelling from Japan to Korea
- Flights: frequent direct flights connect Tokyo (Narita and Haneda), Osaka, Fukuoka and other Japanese cities with Seoul, taking around 1.5–2.5 hours.
- Time difference: none: Seoul and Japan are in the same time zone.
- Entry: Japanese nationals are on the list of countries temporarily exempt from the K-ETA (Korea Electronic Travel Authorization) until 31 December 2026, so short visits do not currently need a K-ETA. Check the official K-ETA website and the Korean embassy before you book, as rules can change.
- Arrival card: complete Korea’s arrival card, which can be done online before you fly.

How long to stay in Korea
Because the flight is short, multi-session skin treatments can be split across several short trips. As a general guide, many skin treatments need only a few days, eyelid and nose surgery about a week or more, and facial contouring or body surgery two weeks or more. Your surgeon should confirm when it is safe to fly before you book your return ticket. See our planning checklist.
Costs and payment
Clinics in Korea quote in Korean won (KRW). We ask each clinic for an itemized quote that lists the doctor, anesthesia, tests, medication, follow-up visits and any overnight stay, so you know what is included before you travel. Ask your bank about card fees for payments in KRW.
Aftercare when you are back in Japan
Short flights make return visits for follow-up easy. We plan multi-session treatments so each trip is efficient.
